Cyclopia is a rare congenital fetal ocular anomaly in which the eyes are fused together and located in a single orbit, which usually manifested various degree of doubling of intrinsic structure, located in the middle of the face normally occupied
by the
roof of the nose.
It is the severest from of hologtelenccephaly, which is failure of cleavage of the prosencephalon with a deficit in middle facial development.
